How to Earn?

Draw Days

23-Sep, 07-Oct, 21-Oct,  04-Nov

Every second Saturday 20h00, 21h00 & 22h00

  1. Tickets are printable via EHost from 09h00 until 21h55 on the days of the promotion/draw.
  2. The draw will take place on the promotional stage at 20h00, 21h00 & 22h00.
  3. Tombola will be used for this promotion.
  4. Tickets will be capped. A patron can earn a maximum of 15 entry tickets playing slots and 15 entry tickets playing tables.
  5. Dual players can play Slots & Tables to maximize tickets earning to 30 entry tickets.
  6. There will be 3 stands on the stage with small boxes on top.
  7. Inside each box there will be a picture of the prize to be won by the finalist if they choose that box.
  8. Prizes range from Cash, Freeplay and Appliance vouchers.
  9. Finalists drawn will be given 90 seconds to present themselves on stage with any form of identification to verify the ticket such as (ID book/Driver’s licence and the Hemingways Rewards card).
  10. Finalists will be given 3 chances to negotiate if they want the Money or The Box by bargaining with the MC.
  11. Once a finalist chooses the money the MC and the Promo lady will reveal what’s in the box.
  12. The MC/draw manager will have a predetermined budget of what he/she can “offer” i.e. Cash and freeplay values to the contestant.
  13. Patron can only win once in a draw evening.
  14. The remaining Prize Money not won during the promotional period will be given away by means of a draw after the final draw on 3 November 2023 for Black Card Money or the Box promotion and 4 November 2023 for the Gold and Platinum Card Money or the Box promotion.
  15. The tickets earned in the last earning period will qualify for the draw for the remaining Prize Money
  16. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, or the draw can be postponed to the next suitable date at the sole discretion of Management.
  17. Any person who is under 18, or who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from gambling and/or participating in this promotional competition
  18. This promotional competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  19. This promotional competition is exclusive to all Rewards Programme cardholders (“Participants”) subject to their respective active membership(s) at Hemingway’s Casino.
  20. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration. Entries accrue proportionally to points earned during the Promotional Earning Period. Points are not transferable.
  21. The draw is strictly an attendance draw and all Participants are required to be present on the draw days to be eligible for a prize, provided that a participant elects not to be present in person when the winner/s are announced. The participant must nominate another person who has been duly authorized in writing to attend the draw on behalf of a participant in the form and manner determined by management. Nomination/Proxy forms will be available at the Customer Services Desk from the opening and closing times for the tombola.
  22. Participants or duly authorized representatives shall be required to present themselves within 90 seconds from the time of announcement and must produce a valid ticket entry and a positive and acceptable form of identification e.g. a South African I.D./South African Driver’s License/Passport or other official form of identification as approved by the casino, Hemingways Casino Rewards card of the individual that they are representing and any other details as required. A redraw will occur should participants not present themselves within 90 seconds.
  23. Authorized representatives or a participant shall not be entitled to any prizes and shall not take receipt of prizes accruing to the Participants they represent
  24. Prizes are to be collected and signed for the receipt thereof by the relevant Prize Winner (not representative), as the case may be, within 15 days from the date of the draw from the casino where the prize(s) were won.
  25. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item(s) unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must sign for the receipt of prizes
  26. Should the prize winner be eligible for a prize but who is not present as a result of nominating a representative to be present for the draw, the casino shall take all reasonable steps to contact the prize winner via the contact details provided in the proxy form or otherwise readily available.  In such circumstances, the prize winner may within 15 days of the draw claim the prize.
  27. Surveillance specialist, Security and marketing will audit the draws.
  28. A register will be available at the Customer Service Desk from 09h00 on the draw day and guests may select a proxy to represent them in the draw between
  29. All decisions are final and binding, no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; any complaints arising at the event will be investigated and forwarded to the ECGB for investigation and final decision.
  30. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  31. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
